What about ‘Cars’? My kids loved it, as did I.
Unfortunatley, we still live in a world that relies on a dwindling supply of non-renuable resources…then again, it doesnt have to be that way (watch ‘Who killed the Electric Car?’).

Hybrids etc are coming out, but yep, the oil companies do deals with the car manufacturers to make them so frickin expensive that only people with enough cash like Mel Gibson can actually afford the suckers.

However you do also have to notice, that this generation of kids, this is probably the least gas-guzzling film. Compared to films like fast and furious, the Mach 5 is a bicycle. Lets not forget transformers, and Gone in 60 seconds. Those films all had big block engine cars, or turbos.

However for some people like me car films are just an outlet. I like to think I’m practical, and it is just not practical in this day and age to own a car like the ones portrayed in all those films. However I do like looking at them, and imagining that I was driving them.
